God i remember playing this Growing up. Spent so many hours on it. Cyth being my main Race to play. This and LBA 2 (little Big Adventure) Is the fuel of my childhood.

You don't really have good options before yellow science to outrange missile launchers. Personal equipment would probably help (some shields) but you don't really expect such suddenly dangerous pirates out of the blue ! Maybe defender bots ? I never use them but they're really really strong.

you could look into the mod Circuit HUD V2 by Xiomax allows you to pin a window with readings from a circuit network. can be useful to track resources like water, oil, coal, etc.

i woner if using a tank (or later a spidertron) would make it way easyer to take on the pirates. It looks like a challange you need have to take but it's not unsurmantable :) keep up the good work <3 i'm trying the mod with krastorio 2 installed and the beginning is pretty chill, i know it gets harder later but i'll try my best :3

Masterfully played. I think research restrictions are a cool way to shake things up. I'm very glad you didn't get deterred by the BS the game pulled on you in the previous mission. Been enjoying these a lot.

Oh no there was a bunch of oil on the biterless ice planet just at the shouthern edge of the scan :( There's a mod with ultra darkness all around and big spotlights to reveal the biters coming. Can be fun if you like horror in your factory.

when you hoped into the truck for like the 5th time ish the map glitched out moving various bits around as you moved the truck causing your power lines i guess to get shifted the black and white lines primarily seen under the solars, its also doing the map move when you reload a save.

It`s some fishy stuff in this episode :>

The warp chests are nice with loaders, but yeah you don't really have the space in the ship to handle all the miners production. Could also work with bob/renai inserters... Also for your box mall plan you can build the other warp chest, smaller and cheaper, that only works into the ship and can't interface with the outside.

With the filters you can put every item in a slot and not have belts at all. A slot for each ore a slot for coal slots for gears wire plates science packs etc

Those pirates, eh, not very friendly. Rockets are nice to kill their buildings from far away, but they still busted a whole side of my base defenses. Ah, if I had a nuke :)

What is the purpose of island-wide radar coverage when you completely eliminate all biter colonies and therefore can expect no attacks...?

You should look into playing captain of industry

The car and rocks (and how hard it is to drive) is why I almost always use the spidertron tiers mods, you have a basic spider (slower than the car, no weapons, little inventory) as early as green science. You get the regular spidertron a bit earlier than usual I think, and you have late game super strong spiders as well as specialized ones (inventory, scouting, fighting...). Seeing you play, I think I was not getting enough ore, but I wasn't actually consuming as much as I was storing already, so I'm not sure that's actually my problem. It also feels like you don't get attacked that much. How long ago was your playthrough ?

I wonder if accepting all of those bad trade offers the Maug threw at you would've kept them happy. But it's probably a matter of 90s AI being weird, that they suddenly broke the military pact with you.
